JEREMIAH is the story of man imprisoned in the infamous Hanoi Hilton and his family.  Jeremiah Denton spent eight years as a prisoner while his wife Jane struggled to raise her seven children during the turbulent 1960's.  They had no news about him until one day he appeared on the nightly news in a North Vietnamese staged 'press conference.'  He had just been tortured for days and looked beaten and disheveled as he gave apparently defiant answers to his questioner.  But all the while he was blinking in Morse Code the word T-O-R-T-U-R-E.  At home his wife decided she needed to let the world know that her husband and the other POWs were suffering and that they should not be forgotten.  She was instrumental in helping to organize the POW/MIA Movement with its iconic black flag.  Jeremiah returned home to become a Senator from Alabama.

JEREMIAH was produced for Alabama Public Television and aired nationally on PBS.  It received a National Edward R Murrow award, four regional EMMYs and four Telly Awards.

#GEORGEWASHINGTON is a twenty-first century look at an eighteenth century man.  Data-mining George Washington's letters, journals and account books give us new insights into the man allowing us to see what made him the man that he was.  Echo Films worked with the University of Virginia to produce this short video which shows the power of using data-mining to shed new light on historical subjects.

#GEORGEWASHINGTON was produced for Curiosity Stream, an online site for cutting edge documentaries started by the founder of the Discovery Channel.  Currently, it is a 12-minute mini-doc but we are working on funding a full-length film.

The May Day Speech is a mini-doc about a speech that POW wife Louise Mulligan gave at Constitution Hall in Washington DC to try and rally support for the burgeoning POW/MIA movement.  The speech has become an important historical event in the story of the POW wives.  No one filmed Louise giving the speech...but we were able to have her read it on camera from her original text.

The May Day Speech was produced for the Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics at the University of Kansas as part of their exhibition on the history of the POW wives.
